The last time we were in Paris, it was post covid and a very different feeling. We were here for two days pre cruise and were bussed to and from excursions each day. It also was in October and rained both days.
This time, the temps have been in the 90’s and we have enjoyed wandering through the city, discovering many different gems. For the first time, I’m sad to leave. Usually, by the end of 10- 12 days the yearning to be home is strong. This time, it is different.

I didn’t get to post last night because we were on the dinner cruise then had to finish packing for a 730am departure this morning. It was after midnight when we returned to the hotel.
The dinner cruise was nice – food was mediocre – but the cheese? Fantastic (inside joke)😂 Paris was pretty, lit up at night, but the constraints of the boat made it difficult to get good pictures.
Trip to the airport was uneventful – I’ve been a little stressed over Charles de Gaulle and the new EEU system, but we made it through in record time, I thought. Long lines but they moved very quickly. our flight has been delayed by about an hour, but we had a nice cushion connecting through Chicago, so we shouldn’t have a problem making our connection!
Will add additional pictures from yesterday – got some from Morgan and Kylie’s museum tour day (some of the museums were free on the first Sunday!)and a few more snaps around the city.
I will admit to singing Le Marseille twice, when asked if we spoke French …. 🫣 thank you Mrs. Jones – 51 years later and I still remember. The last taxi driver made it a duet, so I guess it wasn’t that bad😂

Au revoir, Paris – until next time.
