Ready to celebrate Morgan graduating Summa Cum Laude from Champlain College with a BS in GameArt. Headed to Paris via Amsterdam and a 7 day cruise down the Rhine in between. With the heatwave in Europe this summer, looks like we will be transferring vessels part way thru … always an exciting time.
So …. We’ve made it through breakfast (forgot to take pics before – guess we were a little hungry 🙃) and are ready to head to the airport … love flying from State College – no hassle TSA and no crowd. Zipped through TSA in seconds and settled in with our snacks …. Yes, post breakfast snacks are a “thing” .. don’t judge!
We only have about an hour and a half to our connecting flight from Dulles to Amsterdam, so breakfast and snacks will have to hold us over for a bit. More to come tomorrow morning when we land. My plan is to have something prepared every day and posted by 10pm local time, which is around 4pm east coast time. We will hit the ground running, at 730 am tomorrow morning 🥲 Actually, tomorrow will be acclimatizing ourselves to the area via Hop on Hop off bus …. Wednesday will be the endurance test.
6pm and sitting on the tarmac with mechanics walking back and forth … not a great sign, but glad try are aware and working to fix it. We were scheduled to leave at 5:30.
7pm update …. Now, it’s possible it will be 8pm. Seems to be an issue with a toilet …. Hmmmmmm
10pm and we finally, after deplaning at 800pm, have another plane and are finally underway🎉 bit of a challenging start, but good news about the delay – we will certainly sleep well on the flight and should be well rested when we arrive!
