A visit to Ring of Brodgar today. Temps are dropping and it did not get above 60 today but there was no rain so we call it a win!
The Ring of Brodgar is considered one of the most important prehistoric ceremonial sites in Britain. It is a neolithic stone circle and one of the largest stone circles in the British Isles, with a diameter of 103.6 meters (340 feet). Originally, it contained about 60 standing stones, with 36 still surviving today, ranging in height from 2.1 to 4.7 meters.
The bus ride always gives us an overview of the area ….
