August 15: Beautiful weather again today for a trip into Dublin and a tour of the city and St. Patrick’s Cathedral. We anchored in the Irish Sea and tendered into the port which took about 15 minutes both ways.
The Cathedral had beautiful stained glass. St Patrick was not Irish, but was likely born in Wales or Scotland, kidnapped by Irish raiders at age 16 and taken to Ireland as a slave. He later escaped and returned to Britain but felt compelled to return to Ireland to spread Christianity later in life.

Tomorrow we will dock at Holyhead and visit Beaumaris Castle.
I’ll leave you tonight with a couple of food pics and a special picture of Stephen and Donna who looked especially stunning at dinner tonight.
