My thought with blogging was to save and talk about the “big” trips, but yesterday I realized that they are ALL big trips – at least to me! This is the second time that we have biked from White Haven, PA to Jim Thorpe, PA and just love this trail! It’s only 25 miles and the trail head is less than two hours from the house. We got started around 10 am and arrived in Jim Thorpe around 1pm – after a delicious lunch at Molly Maquires, we boarded the “leaf peeping” train for a 45 minute round trip up the Lehigh Gorge. A fun experience although we saw most of the scenery on the bike trip down the gorge … gotta support the local economy! LOL!
I cannot say enough good things about the shuttle service back to White Haven. Pocono Biking takes care of our bikes for the afternoon while we wander around and it’s nice not to have to worry about getting back to where we parked the car.

Life is like a ten speed bicycle. Most of us have gears we never use.
